Probiotics are the friendly bacteria that should be present in the digestive tract in large numbers.  They stimulate the immune system by producing natural antibiotics (lactocin and acidophilin) that reduce the harmful bacteria in the gut. They aid in digestion, and assist in the absorption of food and nutrients. They manufacture vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, K, and short chain fatty acids. Probiotics contribute to the destruction of molds, viruses, fungal yeast (candida), and parasites. They serve and support many vital bodily functions.
